Many thoughts went through your mind like 'Why did I open that door?  as you ran to save yourself. You find out it's weakness is water so you lead it to the pool. My Guardian

After driving all day, we arrived at our new house. Mom told me to pick my own room. Excitedly, I ran through the long passages and saw a closed door. I opened it...there was a huge wolf. Strangely I wasn't scared. It turned its head to look at me with beautiful golden eyes, then disappeared out the open window. I wanted to tell mum, but she wouldn't believe me. That night the wolf appeared again. It slipped in quietly and laid down by my bed. In the morning it disappeared just as quietly. Alex now keeps guard every night...

The invasion of the talking broccolis

The door opened and there it was.........
Thirty minutes earlier, Jack trudged into Mrs Fender's classroom, wondering whether the torture was going to end. He was having a bad morning. Could it get any worse? Jack thought, ignorant to his fate. But something brought him to a halt. Mrs Fender looked weird, she now was strangely short......and green? Then he realized, she was a broccoli! Jack turned and ran home, the door opened and there it was, the broccoli terminator but when he picked it up it said " Jack wake up." That was when the dream ended.

Challenge 1: Rosie Grade 5

The sound

I snuck out of my camp bed and crept outside into the dark, wet, winter morning. The noise had kept me awake all night. It became louder as I tiptoed into the hall. My heart was thumping. I couldn't imagine what was in there. The thought made me shiver. It felt like the only things on this planet was me and this creature. My skin felt tight and prickled. The icy weather caused my breath to show. My hands were shaking like a million reeds being blown by wind and my feet wobbled as I walked. I can't do this, I thought. The scratching and whining grew so loud I couldn't hear anything else. I stopped for a second before I opened the door, I held my breath and slowly placed my hand on the handle. The door opened and there it was...

Challenge 1: Nina Grade 6

The Painting

Bye sweetie. And that is when my first week at boarding school began. I had all the regular subjects that a school had but, there was one subject that stood out. The subject was Legends. The teacher who teaches the subject is so interesting. One day My crazy teacher Miss Rightshnider said come with me tonight, to the basement. That night I met her there. Miss Rightshnider moved a big bookcase and there was a door. The door opened and there it was... the lost painting of Leandro de Vinci. One of legend Mrs Rightshnider told us about.

Challenge 1: Caitlin Grade 6

I was walking through the forest again, as always. I was so excited, I had finally found the key to that door, the door that's locked, the door in the middle of the forest. Most people say it's just a door, locked, leads to the other side, nowhere. But I know it leads somewhere. Where? I don't know. "There it is!" I yelled. I was so excited. I've been living near that forest for years now. I jammed the key in and turned... The door opened and there it was. The forests greatest kept secret. The secret that changed everything.
