The New Burger Shop

One day I was driving with my mom to get take away.while we were driving I saw something that cuaght my eye. I shouted stop! My mom stoped so fast I thought we were going to have a car crash! I jumped out the car and ran to the thing that caught my eye. Right infront of me was a home made sculpture , it was hands holding a burger , it read: "New burger Shop in town called the Bronze Burger". I ran and told my mom. We drove off and found the Bronze Burger. And boy the food was good.

Challenge 3/17 - Karmen | Grade 6

The artwork

Well, that's great! A new art project due for tomorrow and I didn't have a clue of what to make. The  brief is to make something using newspaper. I was hungry and I wanted to get in bed,wait that's a good idea I could make something food related, like a hamburger. I started of right away plastering newspaper to form two hands and a patty, two buns, lettuce and cheese. It was done! It looked amazing and just looking at it made me hungry. Im so glad I finished and just in time! I am so relieved and proud.

Challenge 3/17 - Rosie | Grade 6

The Not So Scary Witch

"Finally!" She sighed, looking down at her creation. I don't know how she thinks she's so scary, I wondered as I stared at her funny little cauldron on the floor. Inside was a mixture of boiling green liquid that looked like it had brussels sprouts in it. "Eww!" I thought, and pulled a face. She wore a witches costume -The EXACT one I wore to Halloween! - and a pathetic green wig. "It's happening!" She screeched. Suddenly, the liquid started molding into a pair of hands. They clapped and, strangely, a burger popped out. She grabbed it and started chewing viciously.

Challenge 3/17 - Mitchell | Grade 4

Giving

My mom and I went to the hamburger museum. We saw lots of hamburgers. I saw two hands holding a hamburger,the hands were made out of newspaper,the hamburger was made out of stone.It made me hungry. On the sign it said it's meaning is give. Only robots can eat it,it made me think because it means give. So I went to go buy lots of hamburgers to give to the homeless.I love giving to homeless,giveing  feels very heart-warming because they all said thank you very much. I felt joy in my heart.

Challenge 2/17 - Karmen | Grade 6

The race

Nearly there! Now all I had to do was swim across the wide lake and I would win the race. I could see the orange trophy on the other side of the lake. Within a minute I found myself swimming  to the other side. Wait... is that a crocodile!?!? I swam as fast as I could and felt something " chomp " on my foot. Turns out my "crocodile" was just a little fish. My lungs were burning. Pushing through I swam to the other side of the lake. I walked out the lake and collapsed, I had won the race!

Challenge 2/17 - Willow | Grade 4

The Sneeze

I was on my way to see the orange crocodile with my friend, Alex. We reached an interesting looking bench and Alex nearly sat down, but I grabbed his hand and whispered "it's a crocodile sleeping, DO NOT WAKE HIM". "I think I'm gonna sneeze, ACHOO!". Oh no! The crocodile woke up and started chasing us through the valley. All of a sudden while crossing a wide bridge the ground fell from beneath us, the bridge collapsed and within seconds we were in the water!

Challenge 2/17 - India | Grade 4

The Strange Crocodile Species

I was walking with my mom to the shops when I spotted a flyer out the corner of my eye. I stopped to look and it read: "Zoo" I read down further and it said "The Marvelous Orange Crocodile species". I begged my mom to go and she finally said yes. The next day we went to the zoo. We were heading towards the orange Crocodiles when I spotted something orange, I shouted "look" I ran to the cage and looked through the bars. The strange creatures were in a hurry I could not figure out why? I saw some of the crocodiles collapsed, tired and sleepy within the wide tunnel.
